5 in the case of candidates residing outside the territory of the Republic of Poland, it is allowed to submit documentation in the form of scans. In case of admission to the Doctoral School, the original documents required in the recruitment process must be submitted to the Doctoral Affairs Office immediately after arrival in the territory of the Republic of Poland in order to complete education at the Doctoral School.

3. The candidate’s CV containing his/her signature.
In the event of a change of name, if some of the documents submitted were issued to the previous name, a document confirming the change of name must be attached to the CV.

8. An official copy of the diploma certifying the holding of the vocational title of the Master, Master Engineer, or any other equivalent title, and in the case of the candidates referred to in s. 186(2) of the Act the diploma certifying graduation from first-cycle studies, or certificate issued by the relevant Dean’s Office of the university confirming completion of the third year of full-cycle Master Degree studies, where:
a) if the candidate is still awaiting the issuance of the diploma, he/she shall submit a certificate issued by the respective Dean’s Office of the university the Candidate studied at obtaining his/her qualifications, of the vocational title conferred and the study results; an official copy of the diploma must be submitted without delay following admission to the Doctoral School;
b) if the candidate has graduated from a university abroad, he/she is required to submit the foreign university graduation diploma, authenticated or appended with the Apostille seal (each diploma), and the relevant document issued by the competent authority certifying recognition of the diploma as equivalent to the corresponding Polish diploma and vocational title, unless the diploma might be recognized as equivalent to the corresponding Polish diploma and vocational title under an international agreement defining equivalence; in such a case, submission of the diploma of graduation from a university abroad shall suffice.
(The candidates holding the Polish citizenship or being Ukrainian nationals whose stay in the Republic of Poland is recognised as legal pursuant to s. 2(1) of the Act of 12 March 2022 on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in Connection with the Armed Conflict in the Territory of that Country (Journal of Laws 2022: it. 583, as amended), are not bound with the requirement to stamp the diploma with the Apostille seal.)

11. Language certificate, in the event the candidate intends to evidence his/her command of the English language with a respective certificate compliant with the requirements of the MUG Foreign Language Study Centre (list of accepted certificates below).
12. In the case of candidates who are foreigners, a certified copy of their identity document.
EVIDENCING THE COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE:

PREQUALIFICATION INTERVIEW:
▪ Approx. 15 minutes per candidate is provided, including a maximum of 5 minutes for the candidate’s presentation of the project (the presentation may be interrupted after the time limit is exceeded).
▪ The oral presentation of the project by the candidate shall be accompanied by concise slides with a strict number and content, prepared on the attached template: Presentation template (91 KB).
We recommend saving the presentation in PDF format to ensure it can be easily opened during the interview.
▪ Presence of the candidate’s academic tutor is mandatory during the candidate’s interview. In case the academic tutor cannot attend the candidate’s prequalification interview, it is required to appoint a deputy who must provide a written authorisation issued by the candidate’s academic tutor. The authorisation must be presented in the Doctoral Students Office or to the Recruitment Committee.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
▪ The requirements for supervisors are specified in § 30 of the Regulations of the First Doctoral School:
1. The function of the supervisor may be entrusted to the holder of at least the
academic degree of doctor habilitated in the specific discipline or any related
discipline of science the doctoral dissertation concerns, and having a record of
scientific output published over the last 5 years, who agrees to the mentoring of the
doctoral student, subject to section 190(5) and 190(6) of the Act of Law. [....]
3. No academic teacher or member of the research staff can be the supervisor of no
more than 3 doctoral students of the Doctoral School at a time. The limit can be
increased on consent from the Doctoral School Director, provided external
financing for doctoral scholarships is obtained.
4. The function of the supervisor can be taken up by an academic teacher or member
of the research staff of the University, who meets the prerequisites of the binding
regulations, subject to section 190(5) and 190(6) of the Act of Law. In the event 2
supervisors are appointed, at least one of them must be employed at the University
at the time he/she is appointed to perform the function of the supervisor.
Note! Due to the limitation in section 3, we recommend contacting the Doctoral Student’s Office to verify whether the above-mentioned limit will not be exceeded with the candidate’s scientific supervisor.
